If there is a runaway process that can explain high CPU usage. I am curious about what is being reported in Activity Monitor as far as CPU usage. Hopefully you all can help me figure out what's going on. I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue as everything was working right until the OS update. Nothing has changed in my system except for the update to 10.10.5, so I'm pretty sure there's something going on in my system that is causing this. In short I've pretty much tried everything I can think of and nothing has fixed this. I've disabled plugins one by one, reset my preferences, tested different audio drivers, removed plugins, reset my PRAM and user Cache, reset permissions and even did a fresh install of Logic to see if that was the issue. I created a new session to see if it was just my old sessions affected and it's not. It doesn't matter if it's 20 midi tracks, just audio or midi and audio. I updated to Mac OS X 10.10.5 the other day and all of a sudden I'm having severe CPU usage while using Logic. I tried pretty much every single method and came down to creating an account and asking you all for some help and hoping it can get fixed. Hey there! Hoping I can get some help with Logic Pro X.
